Attorney Brian T. Richards earned his bachelor's degree in 1992 from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. In the Spring of 1997, Brian received his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and he passed the Michigan State Bar Exam in July 1997.
He was a member of faculty staff at Baker College for over two years and Lansing Community College, where he held a teaching position in the Business Careers Department/Legal Assistant Program from January 1999 to December 2020. He opened his Lansing-based practice in 1997, focusing primarily on Family Law and Domestic Relations and began specializing in Family-Based Immigration Law by 1999. The office has remained in the same Lansing location since opening. He is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan and has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2005.
Nikki received her business degree in June of 1997 and completed her Paralegal Certification in August of 1997. She has been working with Brian since 2001. She is the sole paralegal support staff in the office and holds full responsibility of preparing all forms and documents for submission, as well as ensuring that any changes to the USCIS and NVC processing procedures are adhered to when processing your immigration matter.
